We can maybe lift our spirits by looking on the bright side.
Here's my list so far:
Two families on our street have contacted us to offer to get us groceries if needed because we're old.
We had an entire restaurant all to ourselves for dinner tonight, enabling much banter with the owners.
Gas is very cheap, apparently related to decreased demand in China (I really appreciated this as a close relative is in hospital out of town and we've had to make frequent trips).
A kindly hospital employee at a large hospital volunteered to walk us around to get to the only entrance that was open when we were confused.
Driving the DVP/404 was almost pleasurable today due to much reduced traffic.
Pedestrians preoccupied with their cell phones no longer bump into me.
Due to a lack of tourists, it was reported that the canals in Venice have clear water and you can see the fish in them.
We are likely consuming less fossil fuels.
Please share your happy experiences.

Kudos to pooreva for volunteering.
A group of nursing and medical students from the University of Toronto are offering personal assistance with errands, shopping, babysitting etc to health care workers who need help.
Loblaws is eliminating pick-up fees and reducing prices for home-delivered items.
In Kitimat, a No Frills store opened one hour early this morning in order for seniors to shop in a less crowded environment. The store was to have been specially cleaned in advance.
Shoppers Drug Mart is offering free prescription delivery.

I've never been a hugger, and live in a small town where everyone knows each other and hugs continually.
Now no one is hugging and I am enjoying every minute of it.
I hear you.
1. ShawGo is giving everyone free access to their wifi network. Not that I need it but many will appreciate it.
2. Inoreader is supplying instant covid updates via text messages. I will now know the vicinity of grim reaper.
3. Bitcoin, like the stock market, has experienced a flash crash with more to come(hopefully). I want to make some money before # 2.

I noticed I have not had telemarketing phone calls for a while.
Right!
Nobody wants to clean my ducts or inspect my water heater any more! Even the lawn care companies are staying away.
I think the term "cootie", long abandonned since childhood, is about to come back into my life.
Thanks for the laugh, Kidd. We need some.

Being over 70, we're now expected to self-isolate.
It's the perfect time to dig into all those delayed household tasks, like decluttering.
It's not a fun task.
However, we just found $500 in gift cards that had been lost in a file drawer since 2001 - and the company is still in business, online, and we still shop there! We phoned to make sure the cards are stil valid, which they are.
