This event was so unusual, I thought it worth mentioning on here. While on a cruise, I received an email alert from US RBC for an amount over my preset limit. Since I only use this account to pay my US credit card, I immediately reviewed and started a dispute when I saw it was Amazon. The Bank advised it had been charged using my US visa Debit, which I have NEVER used . The card has been in my safe since issued. I checked my Amazon account and there had been no charges since 2021 and that item showed being paid for by my Cdn credit card from a completely different bank. RBC is issuing me a new Visa Debit and reversing the charge (pending an Amazon dispute within 45 days) I found a similar situation on Reddit (the poor guy just got trolled - "got your money back. Why do you care how it happened?") So glad I had WiFi on this trip!
