Some of us are aware, but Many are not.

Those positive online service & product reviews are often Not genuine. Many of them are Faked by the sellers, and/or bought and paid for by the sellers.

I literally laugh aloud whenever I see a business advertisement claiming 5-star reviews as some sort of validation for their enterprise. To think that they actually feel that the public believes those reviews are authentic is just how little they they of our intellect.

Think again . . .

A certain % of the public Do believe those Fake reviews. Those people (the gullible) have money in their pockets, and that's why those fake reviews are there.
