Not sure why one would sign for a bond “portfolio” without having any idea what is actually in it. Lots of alternatives out there.

USD cash account could be really useful, I think

It will be interesting to see if WS differentiates this "portfolio" from a bond ETF. I'm not personally interested in a bond ETF - very uncertain times right now that Trump got in- he could increase inflation and cause interest rates to go up again which would cause the bond ETF to lose value.

That's true but people are, for the most part, aware that Trump got in.

Also, one could shorten duration to reduce inflation risk.
