The promo savings rate that started on June 26 ended yesterday on September 30, 2018.

Current W1 Savings rate is 2.30%

2.3%. That is a surprise! I figured 2.0%. We will see if it holds. EQ may raise now to gain the top and of course there is a strong position for a boc rate hike on the 24th.

It's interesting that they are favouring the non-registered accounts so significantly. I would anticipate a promo for Registered in January.

WealthOne has the edge over EQ now, IMO, because they offer joint accounts.

Yes, it looks all but inevitable that there will be a rate hike later this month (Dec 05 at latest). I'm holding off on GICs until that shakes out.

Yes, and W1 also has the TFSA that EQ doesn't. EQ needs to add more account types.
