Does anyone know if the 2018 contribution limit has been announced yet?

I think it is not until sometime in December when they have the CPI stats for November available. I doubt CPI is high enough to warrant a change for 2018 though.

It can be calculated now. It is CPI for the 12 months that end on September 30 that is prescribed by Section 117.1 of the Income Tax Act.

StatsCan released the September CPI last month: Consumer Price Index, September 2017

CPI increased 1.6% in the 12 months ending September 30.

I believe at the end of last year the cpi adjusted amount was up to $5637. It needs to get to $5750 for the limit to be raised to $6000, so it looks like it'll stay where it is for 2018.

Do not expect 10K limit from current government. Pretty boy needs money for vacations and chopper usage to visit his rich friends.

Well, Morneau isn't bad looking, but I don't think pretty really describes him!
