I'm not sure when it happened, but ING Direct finally supports AMEX as a bill payee.

They appear to be still working out some kinks, though. I couldn't pay with a decimal amount:

ING bill payment amount error

ING bill payment amounts

I had to round to an integer.

Peter,

They seem to be adding bill payees as time progresses. Before, I'm pretty sure I wasn't able to find bill payees for TradeFreedom/Scotia iTRADE and BCLC but now I can.

Cheers,
Doug

I was happy to see AMEX. Also, I took advantage of their $1 reward per debit card/bill payment up to $15. And I'm switching my pay to take advantage of the $75 reward. ING confirmed that payroll and government deposits are not subject to holds. In the end that will be $90 in rewards just for using Thrive.
