Just read this on my Bonus and Offer page:

The Offer is only available to Eligible Clients between February 9, 2021 and June 30, 2021 (the “Offer Period”). If the Offer is not Activated between February 9, 2021 and February 28, 2021, Tangerine Clients will not be eligible for the Offer and will not receive Promotional Interest.

Is your offer of 1.75% only on the New Funds you add from date you activate the offer or will be applied to include the entire balance you already have on deposit?

More info from Tang:
“Here’s how it works:
We totalled up the balances of your eligible Savings, TFSA, RSP Savings, and US$ Savings Account(s) as they were on February 8, 2021 to get your total balances per Account Type
From February 9, 2021 to June 30, 2021, you’ll earn your special interest rate on new deposits over your total balances calculated on February 8, 2021 (up to $1,000,000† per Account Type)
The rest of your Account balance will earn the current posted rate”

Thanks. With their regular rate of 0.10% on Savings - the 1.75% isn't bad. (unless you have a fair balance sitting there which would continue to earn only the 0.10% rate.)

Thanks, JenE! I got the same. Will activate. Regular savings funds are in Simplii at 2% until March 31, and then I will move those funds to Tangerine at 1.75% if there isn't something better between now and then. Like others, the TSFA and RSP funds are locked up and will not move for such a short-term offer. For me, these kinds of promo offers are best for the regular savings funds given (relative) ease of transferability.

That is another way of saying what I said. My funds are committed at Simplii until March 31st. I will move to Tangerine then.

Not sure if I should accept this one, since I have all my money in Simplii for 2.3% until March 31 (started October 1). I feel like they may keep offering me these promos until I accept one, then not again for a while.
I've been getting every single Tangerine savings interest rate offer discussed here since October 2020. The first one was 2% from Tangerine for 5 months, but I went with Simplii at 2.3% for 6 months.
This offer is 1.75% until June 30, starting today. Last month around this time (January 7) they offered me the same 1.75% until May 31, which is almost identical to this one in terms of the rate and promo period which is 5 months.
That last offer was acceptable until January 31, this one is until February 28. I didn't accept any offer from Tangerine since last year in April when they offered 2.8% for 5 months.
If they will keep offering these every month as long as I'm not accepting them, then it would make sense to accept the one I get offered in April 2021 which would be when my Simplii 2.3% offer ends, so I can transfer all my money into Tangerine right away and I wouldn't be wasting any of the promo by having no money in the account for the first couple of months.

I always accept their offers. I don't always utilize them, but I like to activate anyway, just in case. I did take advantage of the April and October 2020 offers, but nothing prior to that back to 2018. Take them or not...they keep coming.

I've been with Tangerine for quite a long time, and saw their different promo offers.
Once, just once, they've offered me promo interest on existent funds. I just moved all funds away few days before previous offer ended, so had to move them back. No big deal.
Another time, also just once, they had new promo offer for new funds only, which started 2-3 days before old promo expired. That was probably their idea to see if they can catch people who move funds out of Tangerine a day before their current promo expires.
Since then, I move funds from Tangerine a week before promo expiration.
My current promo with them is 2% till end of March, which means my money will leave Tangerine bank at around March 20-23.

It seems an interesting game to play with Tangerine
Right now, have the 2% offer in effect thru March 31
Did not receive this new offer
(Wouldn't have been any good anyway, since money is currently there)
Have to pull it out first, then wait for a new offer, I guess
My own experience is: do not receive new offers while I have an existing one in place.
But, it seems almost impossible to fathom their logic on these

When any of you receive new offers from Tangerine, do they e-mail their offer to you, does it pop-up when you go on line or do you personally ask them?
I have never received an e-mailed offer from them. Often I get when I go on line "we don't have an updated e-mail address for you to send offers" So, I look and my e-mail address is there and it is correct. I also asked them about it and they say yes they have the e-mail address to send offers. I still get the pop-up telling me the opposite.
I have had a special offer from them a couple of times when I go online, but usually I have to phone and ask. When I do that, I usually get a lower rate offer than some of you get. Right now I am getting 1.6% until early March. I see many of you are receiving 2%.
My current offer was on any existing or new funds. It did not include TFSA.

IIRC, my experience has been that ALL my promos over the years were emailed to me EXCEPT for this very last one in January for the 1.75% on ALL accounts. Like most, I have never received a promo while I already have one but it is interesting to see that one person here just mentioned they received one just before theirs expired. So they seem to always be changing things up.
So, people have tried for a long time, but no one has been able to figure out a discernible pattern. There are general repeat patterns BUT, and a BIG BUT, these do not seem to be 100% all the time. SO YMMV is the order of the day.

The promo one may receive while still under a current offer is their "offer extension". Those are the one that covers existing and new funds. Believe it is usually the same rate as the current offer. One will never receive a better offer than one currently has.
If you have not received or not accepted the last offer, chances are you will receive the next offer.
