It’s being offered because deposits have been drying up. With such pathetic GIC rates, the money won’t stay.

Well, nothing over here for both my wife and self since the 2.75% offer ended Dec 2019.

Because they know that we just move our money out at the end. If they really wanted to be serious, they would make the regular rate around 2.3%, raise all the GICs to the top quarter of the chart and also offer this 3% promo.

Wow.....another great offer, but I didn't get it this time. I'm downgrading my rating of Tang to worst bank in Canada....possibly the world.
