They are no longer seriously in the market, it seems. Only 5.25% for 1 year, and a near the bottom of the pile 4.2% for 2 years. sf-frown

It's all part of the normal Ebb & Flow of GIC rates. And a good indication that Tangerine's need for more GIC Moolah has dropped off quite a bit.

It also helps to keep Tangerine down near the bottom of the Chart ...(https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/gic-rates/) ... where they usually live. sf-smile

18 months rate also dropped to 5.30%.

Tang has offered super rates and then dropped it as quickly at least once or twice in the past year. But thanks to this forum, I was able to take advantage of it!
