When logging in today, surprised to see 5.0% off from Dec 4 to Feb 28
Both spouse and myself had been receiving offers regularly, simultaneously
This last time, I did not get an offer-- she did. (Nov 5 - Jan 31)

It seemed a few people received Tangerine rate promotion now. I did not receive.
Tangerine may have a gap for the next promotion. For example, I did not have a promotion in August 2024.
I can not wait anymore, I will move my money to TD Direct Investing next Monday before BOC cut rate on Dec 11 in order to lock in the current rate, I plan to buy 1 year cashable GIC at TD DI.
Simplii offered me 3.5%, too lower.

I had received no offers this time around. I called Tang saying I would move my money out if they did not offer me something - so they gave me 4.2% for 120 days, on existing funds. Better than nothing, and certainly better than the 0.30% they have normally.

I called before my previous offer expired, they offered me 3.75%, i rejected. now, no offer for me.

Mine is 3.5%. Useless. I have regular 3.75% elsewhere.

Until tomorrow when BoC cuts the lending rate and wealthsimple drops their premium Cash rate of 3.75%? I have that wealthsimple rate which I fear will drop tomorrow night.

I just finished a rate offer from Tangerine on Jan 31st but have not received a new rate offer yet (as of Feb 7th). Has anyone received or heard of new rate offers starting this month (February, 2025) from Tangerine??

I had the same experience. I called them, and they said they couldn't do anything for me. Then I mentioned that I was thinking of moving the money I had just taken out back in, and they told me I could get 3.8% for 90 days. Given the current rate environment, that's not too bad

I don't do it but if I was going to call them and ask for a promo rate I'd definitely first tell them how much money would be coming in with an acceptable rate offer.

It appears that both my partner and I have no longer made the cut to receive Bonus offers. We were lucky enough to have had a continuous run of Bonus Offers and Extensions from September 2023 to the end of January this year.

Interesting. I am in the same situation - have received a string of 5 consecutive offers from Tangerine (July 2023 to January 2025) but now nothing. I usually put in around $40k for each offer. I received a phone call from Motive a few weeks ago offering a bonus 1% on top of their current 2.75% Savvy Savings account for 120 days (need to deposit at least $10,000 by February 14, 2025). Motive is also offering a 2% bonus for new customers. So now that looks like what I will do with Motive - 3.75% offer for 120 days; the 2.75% can change of course and likely will - downwards 🙁

Almost continuous offers for the last 18 months or so
But, alas, nada since the Jan 31 offer expired

Yeah same here. Had rolling promo offers every 3 months between my wife and I. Annnnd now crickets when my Jan 31 5% rate expired. My wife’s promo ends at the end of Feb if no further tang offers may have to use wealthsimple. 3% isn’t terrible and sure beats 0.3%
