Tang used to be very simple and direct in these offers.
Now they are adding some tricks and loopholes;
Like the Scotiabank promo's with multiple tiers, balances, accounts, you need a PhD to beat their system.
Maybe Tang will add more of the Scotiabank tricks as time goes on, to give everyone a slight haircut that they hope they don't notice.  

Yes, now Tangerine add more tricks. Back to date, it was ING or years ago, an agent told me he would always give me the best rate offer. I called him then he gave me the best offer. Now, I think you can NOT negociate the rate anymore, their computer system selects who is the targeted customer to have the rate offer.

The strongest parts of ING's schtick were no haggling and no fees.
