I usually get my promotion interest payments early on the first day of each month and regular interest payments on the last day of each month. However, I still haven't received my promotion interest payment for November. I called Tangerine and was told the waiting time is over 30minutes, so I left my phone number and am waiting for the call back.

When I went to check Dec 1 promo bonus interest, it hadn't been added to my 'savings' account total, but...when I went to transfer money, it was there, it appears...i.e. the amount in my savings account available to transfer, was larger the balance in my savings account...(by approx. what I would've expected for bonus interest)...so, the interest was 'sorta' added?? Not a good look.
The promo bonus interest is still not listed as a transaction, 9:40 p.m., EST
I did not call Tang...

I got the call back. The promotion interest was added to the total balance, but the transaction detail is not shown in the account's transaction record due to a system issue.

I had the same issue.Promo bonus for Dec 1 showed but the regular Nov 30 interest wasn't showing.Called & was on hold for 45 min.Was told it was a glitch.It has been fixed & everything is now showing.

I hate how the media and publicity people use the word "glitch" when trying to minimize their dishonesty, bugs, mistakes, design failures and total collapses. A "glitch" is by definition a non-repeatable, inexplicable one-time mysterious anomaly, the sort caused by a cosmic ray flipping a bit or a variety of events meeting in a super-low-probability synergy.
An entire network shutting down or interest not getting paid is no "glitch"!

Everything worked perfectly and as usual on our household's accounts.
I would think that if this were more than a glitch, there would be a lot more than 3 people raising hell in this forum.

A follow-up to my post #2 above, my account transaction for bonus interest 'showed up' after I posted, and before midnight EST Dec 1...
I wasn't going to panic, as bonus had apparently been added, but not visible as a transaction, but I did want to clear my bonus interest from my savings, due to expired bonus offer.
I am curious why this 'glitch' happened to some, and not others, or was it quite widespread, and under-reported by folks?
I wrote above "not a good look', but rather could have written 'somewhat disconcerting'

On December 1, my Promo interest was showing, but not the regular interest. I noticed the balance was higher than it should have been, so I grabbed the monthly statement (nice that it's there on the first day after month end) and saw the regular interest was posted and that the transactions page balance after promo interest was correctly including the regular interest paid.
I went back to not worrying a stitch about it and figured it was just a temporary display issue. No missing interest.

My account had the same issue with the bonus interest but I wasn’t going to lift an eyebrow until next week. Can’t say I am too concerned about a slight timing issue with the entries not showing until the end of the day while the totals already credit the bonus.

I also noted the "anomaly" on Dec 1-i.e., balance showed the regular interest, but the entry not yet posted
I scratched my head a little, but it didn't really concern me, and sure enough, like others here, the entry was posted later.

On Dec 1st my regular interest wasnt itemized on my account transactions until that same evening when I checked again. However, the balance had increased more than the promo bonus paid. I had assumed it would be itemized later on my account which it was. More of an annoyance than anything alarming to me. If it had lasted longer or the interest amount was missing id be alarmed and calling them.
I suspect most people arent like me and don't check their accounts on the first of the month in the morning to see their interest payments. It likely happened to many customers but they had no idea.

I had regular interest shown on November 30th, promo interest appeared on 1st of December, around 6am-7am ET.

I believe it has always been the case that Tangerine's promo interest is paid on the 1st of the following month (it's noted in the offer terms).
If I recall, one quirk of this payment schedule is that Dec bonus interest (paid Jan 1) is reported on following year's T5. If you're doing any tax planning fine-tuning, this may be of benefit.

On Dec 1 I received the following Deposit notifications on our TNG accounts:
Regular Interest @ 3:02AM. Interest showing posted Nov 30.
Bonus Interest @ 5:14AM. Interest showing posted Dec 1.
And that's kinda what I've seen timing-wise every month ...

I did notice the two interest payments Dec.1 , morning of. They were posted on separate dates , Nov. 30 , Dec.1
Also, I remember a post regarding Tang short changing interest in another thread some weeks back. I did the math and it was correct.
Incidentally, I just discovered I've been short changed, @ Aterna Bank. .27cents on a 1 year GIC. My other 1 year GICs were added correctly. Hey, another glitch.
