I was on the 2% promo until April 30th and did not receive any other promo via email. I called in to Tangerine yesterday and spoke with a low level functionary who offered me 2%, which I managed to talk up to 2.25%. He dug in his heels there and said he could not go any higher. I asked to speak with a manager and hung on hold for 20 minutes until someone jumped on the line. The man I spoke with was very nice and once again offered the 2.25% rate until November. I asked if there was anything else he could do, stating I knew some people on the 2.4% and others on the 2.8%. Long story short, he offered me 2.5% for 180 days and I jumped on it. Time well spent. If you don't have a better promo rate, it might be worth calling Tang and seeing what they can do for you.  

For those that did receive the 2.2% offer today with a duration until November 30, your post proves to me they are low-balling trying to have as many that were targeted accept the offer in the hopes they'll just go along with it in a environment of rising interest rates. I'm aware that you could call in and request a rate increase with varying degrees of success. I personally think you did well with the 2.5% for 180 days.

I was offered the 2.2% rate online, but I haven't accepted it as it doesn't apply to USD accounts. I've just shuffled out my USD and yet to accept the 2.2% offering. I think I'll shuffle out my CAD as well.
