I just received the email offer yesterday as well. Good thing I held off as I was about to transfer into DUCA CU's 3.25%.

Speaking of definitions of recession vs. depression, I understand it as:
Recession - when you lose your job
Depression - when I lose my job!

No email offer nor insights offer for me. Previously, I didn't take up their 2% offer, and they haven't offered me anything since.

Same, ignored their 2.2% offer from early May until the end of November. Talk about holding a grudge.

I find the Tang/BNS ATM's not user friendly.

The one I heard recently ...

Economic Slowdown - my neighbour loses his/her job
Recession - I lose my job

Therefore, as a 100% non-working retiree I am assured there will not be a recession ...

I've accepted that 2.2% offer. That should mean, nothing else for me from Tangerine till December. Hopefully, in December-January I'll get new and better promo offer from Tangerine. Until then, my money will be elsewhere.

Checked my email this morning, Aug. 02 to accept promised offer, except that it wasn't there, at least not yet. And the guy on the phone from tangerine didn't know too much about it about when or even if a promised email will arrive. After looking into my account for five minutes, he finally figured out that yes, a promo is about to be offered to me, and to wait for it. Prior to that five minutes, he wasn't even sure what I was talking about.

I still have not received the 3.5% offer email (despite receiving the "heads up" email). Has anyone received the offer email yet?

Another household member received the promotional offer and accepted it.
I called and got the same offer extended to my accounts.

Just got an e-mail offering 3.5% from Tangerine starting 01 September for HISA. Currently I have 2.80% until 31Aug. They said to watch for e-mail from them on the 1st. It is for all non-registered accounts. (So keep your money where it is basically)

Yeah. This September offer still ends by December 31st, 2022 (four months) but 3.50% rate is covetable.

I received an email from Tangerine telling me I'd be getting the 3.5% rate for 4 months starting Sept. 1. Interestingly, this offer came a few days after I moved all my cash to Meridian - they offered me 3.5% for 8 month so I guess I'll leave my money there for now.

Good move. Let Tang pay the price for playing their silly games.

Each of our accounts has held a substantial $1.10 for quite some time. No offer for me but, my wife did get the Sep-Dec 3.5% offer ...

So funny!
I received an email from Tangerine a couple of weeks ago
informing me that my 2.8% offer would expire at the end of August and no more special offer for me. First time I receive this type of communication.

Did the same thing you did and opened an account with Meridian to take advantage of the 3.5% rate. Linked with the Meridian account and transfered $.

Two days later, I receive another email from Tangerine telling me this time that Hey! I too would be eligible to the 3.5% starting in September.

Did linking with Meridian triggered this? Who knows...
Man, I miss ING.

malquin, I've had the same type of message in the past, even adding how I can close my account. Too bad for them, they're not getting rid of me that easily, something good always comes down the pipe (pike?) eventually.

No new special offer for me, not even an email to tell me that my rate is ending - but they did leave me a message in my inbox when I logged in, telling me:
"We hope that the special 2.80% interest rate you’ve been earning has helped you make your money work as hard as you do. As a reminder, this rate will end on 31-August-2022. After that date, the funds in the Account will earn the posted rate."

The posted rate of course is a very low 1.0%.

I will take most of my cash out of Tang, leaving enough to pay bills which are linked to them. The funds will likely travel to Hubert to take advantage of their one year GICs, where if rates go up again, I can adjust them in three months.

A pox on Tang's lottery tactics!
