Not bad if you already have money at ING.

90 Day 2.5% isn't to bad.. 1.4% for cash TFSA currently from ING.. Also includes a $50 bonus if you are a new client.. Just fund with $100 minimum.. Not sure if there are minimums for GIC with ING..

RRSP also avail only 1.35% cash though.. Same 90 day.. http://www.ingdirect.ca/en/lan.....index.html

Went with them for the 90 days rate actually. Interesting.

In 3 months will see if I go with ICICI @ 2.40% or any more risky funds it we hit the bottom of the economy barrel.

The day you become free is the day you work for fun.

Anything out of the ordinary with setting it up ?

Rollovers, payment of interest, strange fees, etc. ?

And also, why wouldnt you use a People's Choice TFSA account at 3% ?

ING setup is painless.. Unless you are a new customer.. You will benefit with signup bonus etc.. When you setup a GIC with ING they allow you to choose what you want to do upon maturity.. All online..
