The chequing account at tangerine for me is at 0.25%

So they either cut it again quick or they cut it between you checking.  

Wow. I checked it a few hours ago and it was 0.5% . I'll check again. What's behind all the rate cuts? They maybe anticipating the end of the hikes which precede rate drops.

Damn just a few hours ago? Yeah that’s probably it which is also kinda sad. I don’t think another FI comes close to the interest Tang used to pay on chequing accounts. I think the next closest was 0.25%. Sad to see  

Just checked and I'm at 0.5%. It may be because I currently have a large balance in my chequing account as I'm in the process of moving a large sum of money out to another FI. It looks like the rate is tiered.
