Based on tangerine terms:
Except where otherwise specifically stated, GIC terms of one year or longer have interest calculated on the basis of 365/366 days and compounded and/or paid annually. Except where otherwise specifically stated, where we offer GICs for terms of less than one year, interest is calculated on the basis of 365/366 and paid at maturity.

Has anyone seen any High Interest Savings Accounts offered by CDIC insured financial institutions, for small incorporated businesses?
Tangerine for example is not interested in small incorporated businesses as it will not open an account for them. Many other FI also will not open small biz accounts.

Still don't understand why Simplii is not listed in GIC chart, at 2.6% it would be easily in top half of the list for the 1-year term. Tangerine's GICs are listed even though due to its low high-interest account rate it's not on the comparison chart. I've no specific interest either way, but people often want to spread their GICs around to the best rate places to keep under the CDIC limit at each fi and they may be relying on the GIC chart for that. ??

Simplii sent me an email for 2.75 % for 1 year GIC, last week.
Not sure if the same rate is on their website and for everyone or not, or it was targetted for a few customer's.
I declined as banks are giving between 3% to 3.2% , like RBC and TD for 3 months, 6 months etc on their HISA.
Didn't want to tie in my money for 1 year for just 2.75%.
