After I moved out the bulk of my money recently after my previous 2.75% offer ended in Nov, I just finally got offered this 2.75% offer. I'm below the threshold, and don't think I'll move into the threshold as I'm getting more elsewhere. I activated the offer nonetheless.
Here’s how you can start earning 2.75%* on combined balances of
$50,000 or more in your Tangerine Savings Account(s), up to
$1,000,000:
1 Click the ‘Activate Now’ button below by December 31, 2019.
Balances in your non-registered Savings Account(s) from
2 December 18, 2019 to April 30, 2020 will earn your special
rate of 2.75%.
Something to remember: if your combined Savings Account balances dip
below $50,000, you’ll still earn our posted interest rate. To start
earning 2.75% again until April 30, 2020, all you need to do is bring
the combined balances back up over $50,000 during the Offer period.

Too complicated! Tangerine should keep it simple like Motive. My concern with Motive is that they are based in Alberta which has been in a recession for awhile now. (The staff at Tangerine must have too much time on their hand to come up with these complex formulas.)

CWB has a decent presence in BC as well. Still no incentive to take it out of Motive @ 2.8.

I regret activating the Dec 2019 offer. It didn't cover USD HISA that the Jan 2020 offering includes. So now that my GIC has matured, my USD account and my CAD accounts now now nearly cleared at Tangerine, gone to places with higher rates, Simplii for CAD and Hubert for USD
same here. Its stupid they even varies some offer covers USD and some dont.
But what does work is promptly remove ur funds when offer ends, wait a bit and they will "come back" with a decent offer next time around. Stupid game but easy enuf since its all electronics and just a few keystrokes
