I have a Tangerine Line of Credit account and paid full balance on January 1, 2015. But tangerine charge my December interest again. I don't believe it just happened on mine. So everyone double check your account!

Xing, thank you for putting this information on this forum. I'm sure this will help others and open their eyes on being proactive and aware of all transactions that occur in their accounts are correct and accurate.

We never had any problems yet with our savings accounts and GIC's.

We still have some 3.5% and 3.25% 5 year GIC's made in 2011 at ING Direct now Tangerine Bank.

We also have savings accounts there and we always check that all transactions including interest paid on our 9 GIC's are paid annually and compounded annually.

Errors do happen at banks. I noticed that a shopping charge to my Capital One credit card disappeared some days ago. I'm waiting for it to re-appear since the shop owner will find less income.

Xing and James1900, we were charged double also for preauthorized automatic bill payments but it was not fixed. This was a different bank not Tangerine Bank.

We had to go in the branch directly as we waited 12 days and I don't know how much teeth legally speaking their 30 day policy was but we did not want to take a chance.

Everybody, just be careful and check regularly your accounts, investments, all other transactions as it good to keep on top of things for not just errors but security issues and fraud as well.
