I did get the email stating that 4.60% rate is coming on Aug. 1st, a few days ago.
I logged in this morning just to realize that the offer now says ... 4.45%. I accepted it anyway. Surprise, when I look at the account details, it says 4.60% ... I guess that I will have to wait for a month until I know which one is it.

I've got 4.6% offer, too.

August 1st Tangerine promo extension just arrived. It is 4.45%, not 4.6% personalized email from Tangerine promised.

Same here: accepted 4.45% but see 4.6% in account details.

You're earning a limited-time 4.60% interest rate on your eligible Account balance(s) (up to $1,000,000.00 combined) until October 31, 2024.*

The discrepancy with the promotional interest rate offer may be explained by a recent change ( today ? ) of the base savings account interest rate from 0 .60% to 0.45%.

.
I just activated my 4.60% SA rate offer via Insight ... good through to Oct. 31.

And yes, Tang's basic SA rate has been lowered to 0.45%, as of 2day.

5.75% promo ended yesterday. So, I phoned today and was given 4.5% for 90 days until October 29th without having to switch my funds to chequing or accept the offer.

I had to call, beach and complain. My spouse received the 5.1% and ths renewal offer above.

The call was interesting. I was basically scolded by Tangerine supervisor. I was told I'll never receive any more promotions from Tangerine after accepting a medicore 4.25% offer until October 31. I haven't received any offer from them in about a year.

Previously, they had a customer relations escalation team who handled offers regular CSRs can't provide. Apparently that's recently been discontinued unless I have more than a million dollars.

So this weekend I phoned to do a transfer that was over the daily limit. I wanted to get the funds out:

a.) to start earning some interest after my promo expired, and
b.)to clear the account in case another promo is offered for "new money" over the balance on some arbitrary date.

The agent on the phone asked if I was moving to get a better rate, and I said, "Yes".

He then asked what rate I was getting and offered me 1.9% for 90 days. After clearing the beverage that I'd just spat through my nose, I politely declined.

So today, checking "Insights" when logged in to pay bills, I had the offer for 5.5% until Oct 31. No email (at least, not yet), but I've activated and am now transferring back all the money I moved out yesterday.

I wonder if this would have come up had I accepted 1.9%...

The e-mail could arrive later. Looks like Tangerine was sending notices throughout yesterday.

I didn't receive an e-mail or see any offer in Insights when others started reporting their offer here. However, an e-mail did arrive later last night offering me 5.50% on new money deposited between August 7 and October 31.

The email arrived 7 hours after I activated the Insights Offer ...

My spouse got exactly the same offer as Norman1.
