A new one ... 2.4% on new $ thru Aug 31 2022. Starts April 5 on new $ over April 4 balance.

My wife's first offer since joining 20 years ago when it was ING Direct …

A targeted offer. If targeted, activate by 04/30.

Apparently $Cdn/$US and TFSA/RSP Savings.

Question: Is this 2.40% running concurrently with the 2.80% offer?

Once you sign up to the 2.8% if offered to you, it's yours through July. So those who signed up for it have it.

This is a different offer, presumably offered to some people who haven't signed up for any other current Tangerine offer.

This is yet another in Tangerine's very confusing array of promos. So now there is one which gives 2.8% to July 31, one which pays 2.8% to August 31, and one which pays 2.4% to August 31. Maybe there are even more still extant. Each also seems to have its own specific rules as to what types of accounts are covered, whether old money counts, etc.

Quite a marketing mess! I cannot fathom their thinking. What a way to run a business.

They are laddering their promo and expected cash drain as promo expires. The benefit to them is reduce the need to do bulk funding at competitive rates all at once, effectively out maneuver the rate chasers like a good portion of us here.

For me, there is nothing confusing at all: I've got no new promos. /s

When my current 2% promo expires by the end of this month, I'll move my money elsewhere.

I'm on the 2% promo thru 04/30 also. My plan was also to move just before then. But then my wife got her first Tangerine offer in 20 years. So, we accepted the 2.4% and shifted all $ from my Personal and Joint Savings to her Personal and Joint Savings. All took less than 2 minutes; no transfer delays, no holds. That's it, that's all ...

Same situation here. No Promo = No reason to keep funds in Tang. Except I moved my money earlier for 2.75% at Simplii.

This is a great website for ideas to make money work more effectively.

Wild ...

I've been on the 2.0% thru 2022/04.

My wife is now on the 2.4% thru 2022/08.

I just got the 'warning' of an invite on 2022/05/03 for 2.2% thru 2022/11 ...

Kind of a "downgrade" compared to the August ones.
