Hi Peter,

I've got an idea for how we can improve the TFSA Rate column in the HISA chart, and it's remarkably simple. Instead of adding "n/a" where the FI doesn't offer a TFSA, simply change the cell colour to a medium to dark grey. In a legend or footnotes at the bottom of the page, note that the applicable cell colour denotes the product is not offered at the given FI.

This would allow (finally) for proper sortation by highest-->lowest or lowest-->highest of the TFSA rate column.

I suspect there are no objections to this, and it could be implemented expeditiously. sf-cool

Cheers,
Doug

I object. Footnote = clutter. Sort feature works fine as is. I suspect we can expeditiously put an end to the idea of this change.

Since it is unlikely that any one would invest @ 0%. Why not change the n/a to 0% with a foot note.

Colour coding is helpful to me because I have vision problems, but would prefer black as it is easier for me to see.

But what would be more helpful, from my point of view, would be a separate chart showing several features including transfer out fees, withdrawal. fees, closeout fees.
And I'd like the same for RSPs and for RIFs.
These fees are often hard to find on FI websites.

I actually was going to suggest black, Loonie, and it is perhaps best as it would be clear from the colour coding that the FI doesn't offer it. Good suggestion! sf-cool

We don't have to go with the footer. I just thought to clarify what the colour indicates.

I think you completely missed the point, respectfully. No one is going to deposit at 0% (unless you live in the European Union!), but it would be nice to rank order the TFSA rates from highest to lowest and lowest to highest. That's currently impossible as the alphabetic text mucks up the sort. 😉

Cheers,
Doug

I love this idea of a chart with fees included. Thanks
