Hello fellow savers,
do we currently have a method to compare GICs that don't fit in the existing columns on the comparison chart ? Or have this topic been discussed in the past ?
I see the potential expanding the bottom portion to a rate centered table. Consequently, shortest term required is the leader for a given rate.
However, I think it can be labour intensive to maintain.
For example,
Rate | FI Offer(s) |
---|---|
2.50% |
|
As for layout, I prefer scrolling vertically (more rows) to scrolling sideways (more columns) ... also hate browsing mega spreadsheets always get lost in them.
Thanks for the idea. Because the data is broken out in a database, technically this wouldn't be too hard to automate. However, only the most standard terms are in the database -- not 15-month terms for example -- so the automated version would be incomplete unless there is an efficient way to expand the data stored.
