Peter,
I think we should add Casera Financial to the "GIC chart," provide it with a "profile" page for visitors of the site to get basic information on them, and a discussion forum, similar to how we did with Steinbach Credit Union.
As part of adding them to the "GIC chart," I noticed they have a pretty decent 2.90% 30 month 2 1/2 year GIC special in non-registered, TFSA, and RRSP accounts, which you could also add to the "promos" page. The 30-month GIC rate would be in 3rd place, if sorting it by 2 year GIC rates.

We wouldn't need to add them to the HISA chart because you need a $5000.01 balance to qualify for 1.55%; however, their GIC rates are noteworthy and they're another Manitoba credit union besides Hubert, Achieva, and, I think, Ideal that has no transfer out fees for registered accounts. Interestingly, their Savings account has no fees of any kind as far as I could see.
Parent company is Casera Credit Union.
Cheers,
Doug

After a bit of telephone tag trying to get redirected to Casera Financial, not the Casera Credit Union branch receptionist, I spoke with Casera Financial's supervisor, Robyn (spelling?), who confirmed the TFSA and RSP Variable Savings is tiered like the High Yield Savings account. However, she did also confirm that if you have over, say, $100,000 in your savings account, you get the higher deposit rate on your entire balance. So, that's helpful to know.
She also said she'd look into updating the Casera Financial website to remove the branch phone numbers and use only the Casera Financial toll-free telephone number.
So, on that basis, Casera Financial is not eligible for inclusion in the main comparison chart, but should be added to the GIC chart, to the "promos" page for the 30-month (2.5 year) GIC (all registration types), and have a "profile" page and a forum.
Edit: One anecdote I found interesting from Casera Financial's parent company, Casera Credit Union, webpage is that they originally started as, presumably, a closed bond credit union consisting of Canadian National Railway employees in CN's Transcona railway service shops.
Cheers,
Doug
