New money offer for existing HISA's:
Terms and Conditions
The Simplii Financial promotional savings interest rate offer (the “Offer”) is available between November 19, 2024 and February 28, 2025 at 11:59 PM UTC (the “Offer Period”), by invitation only, to primary account holders of an existing Simplii Financial High Interest Savings Account (an “Eligible HISA”) who meet all of the applicable terms and conditions below.
…The Offer
The special annual interest rate of 4.00% is a combination of the regular annual interest rate set by Simplii Financial earned on your Eligible HISA’s daily closing balance (“Regular Interest”), plus a promotional annual interest rate (“Promotional Interest”) that is earned on your Eligible HISA’s Additional Balance (defined below) from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period. Any change to the Regular Interest will result in a corresponding change to the Promotional Interest so that the overall special annual interest rate will remain 4.00% from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period.
Interest on each Eligible HISA is calculated as follows:
- Regular Interest is calculated daily at the current rate applicable to the Eligible HISA balance on each day's full closing balance;
- Promotional Interest is calculated daily on each day's closing balance that exceeds the closing balance as at November 15, 2024 (the "Additional Balance") beginning on the enrolment date until the end of the Offer Period;
- The maximum Additional Balance that is eligible for Promotional Interest is $1,000,000 per Eligible HISA.
Regular Interest and Promotional Interest are paid monthly. For clarity, Promotional Interest will be paid within the first two business days following the month in which it was calculated. …

Got offered the 5.25
But there is a little trick embedded in this, as the offer starts Nov 19, but the balance is from Nov 15. So a person could have a partial balance from the last offer, and make that mistake.
Always move your money out before the last day of a rate offer, from your Simplii account, Simplii always did this kind of trick.

Luckily I did move it out by the last day, so the end of day balance was ok.
But have never had back to back Simplii offers like this, usually its one and done. But Tang does that of course.
But that is a good reminder to always clear out the money before any offer is done if you don't want to miss an offer.

I got 4.0 offer, spouse got 3.5
Just found it under My Offers-- no email
We had just come off the 5.0 offer ending Nov 15
Fortunately, I had cleared the money out before the 15th
Going to accept the 4.0 offer, to use in Feb after Tang expires Jan 31
Won't bother on the 3.5 offer, since of no value to us
Who knows what the best strategy is to improve chances for subsequent offers
I suspect just luck of the draw, regardless of what one does
We have been receiving offers regularly this year-- but seems they are always a day late and a dollar short, compared to the other offers we have received

Thank you for that tip! Thought I got passed over until I clicked on that link.
I got 4.25%... the Feb28 end date seems to mesh perfect with the RRSP contribution deadline... so I plan to earn some decent interest while I accumulate my RRSP contribution (as long as I don't splurge too much over the holidays )
