The golf cart thefts made several national newscasts. I'm not familiar with "rain-tax"; Wikipeida's closest hit was a tax on impermeable property that drains directly into storm surges.
I was kind of tongue & cheek kidding about the "Rain Tax" but apparently it is a real thing. I saw it mentioned somewhere but not sure if it ever came to fruition. Nonetheless here we are in 2024!!

So even if we don't use the Global transfer, if hacked a criminal could use it.
The hacker can only add a new payee and send out a GMT if they are also able to receive the two-step verification code sent via the mobile App, a text message or a phone call.
Keep the device that you receive 2FA code safe and act on it immediately if it is lost.
The hacker would face the need of the very first 2FA code when they try to log in the online banking using an unusual browser from an abnormal IP address.
