Hello,
For the first time ever, last night, I was checking my PC Optimum details (Not the total balance). I noticed that the only points I have been receiving for the past 45 days (Both app and online portal only show the details for the past 45 days) are the promotional points and nothing for the 10 points per $1.
I used the online points inquiry form and claimed the missing points for the past 45 days. The points were given back in couple hours.
However, I suspect this has been the case for a very long time. I can't see the details past 45 days which is stupid. However, from the balance I have, I am 100% sure they haven't been giving the 10 points per 1$ spent.
I never suspected this. I now wonder if we should check every kind of transactions!
Using my Credit Card statements, I contacted them with dates, place of purchase, and amount indicating the CC used for the purchase and requested either to have the points or detailed balance history to be sent to me.
If my calculation is correct, I am missing about 48,000 more points. It is $48 only in Money value but still 1% is 1% and that's only going back 10 months.

There were some problems reported in the media a while ago (within the year, I think) of people who had had points disappear. I think hacking was blamed? you might check for stories online; or someone else will remember the details. If I remember correctly, it was not too long after they merged the Shoppers points with the PC ones.
You do know, yes?, that only Shoppers gives points per dollar spent. Loblaw only gives for promos. It shouldn't affect those gained through their credit card though.

Yes I know about the stolen points. These weren't stolen though cause I can see the details of given points for the last 45 days.
Lol. Funny! No I didn't know only Shoppers give points per $. Then they gave me points I don't own. Haha. Oh well.
Which credit card do you have - President Choice Financial World, World Elite, or other? That determines how many points you will get at Shoppers, Loblaws, or other stores.

There are three type of PC financial MasterCards: normal card is 1%, world is 2%, and world elite is 3% for Loblaw stores.
The confusion for Optimum(PC) points is the crediting processing. First, it is 1% of Optimus points(when you scan your OptimusPlus card) regardless of tag, card, or phone app. Second, they will credit your deal bonus ( like 200 points for $1 of fresh poultry, 20% of points). These two have nothing to do with your credit card yet!!! Lastly, it is credit car reward points: world is 1% (although they advertised 2%, but it is included 1% of Optimun point already) and WorldElite card will get 2%. Enough confusion.
Like I always use the Optimus point card, but I may not use their credit card, because my TD cashback and Meridian cashback have more cashback than 2%. And also cash is better than Loblaw Points no matter what:-)

There is a difference if you are at Shoppers or Loblaws. Let's say that you have two Digital offers for 1200 points. You buy one at Shoppers and the other at Loblaws/No Frills, and each costs $6.39. Suppose on the same bill you buy a $50 gift card, for a total of $56.39.
On the Shoppers receipt, you will see 'REGULAR POINTS' = 90 (15 per $, because gift cards don't earn REGULAR POINTS) and 'Digital Bonus Points' = 1200), 'TOTAL POINTS EARNED TODAY' = 1290.
On the Loblaws receipt, you will see only 'Digital offers' = 1200.
If you paid with the PC World Elite Mastercard, in a few days you will see the following online in the Points section, because the gift cards earn points when paid by your PC credit card:
PC WORLD ELITE MASTERCARD SDM REWARDS 1128
PC WORLD ELITE MASTERCARD LOBLAW REWARDS 1128
MASTERCARD REWARDS 564
MASTERCARD REWARDS 564
If you made the purchases on the same day, last 2 may be combined into one entry.
