Hi,
How does Simplii Financial pay out monthly interest from their HISA? I'm currently on the 5.5% promo that ends March 31st. The monthly interest was added to my account on Feb. 28th but it's way below what it should be for the amount of funds that I have in the Savings Account (which were added Feb. 1st). I'm not sure how their monthly interest is tabulated. Should I wait a couple of days or call Simplii about this?

Pursuant to the t&c of this offer:
Promotional Interest will be paid on the second business day of the following month into the
enrolled Eligible Savings Account held by the primary account holder, which account must be active
and in good standing at the time of payment. If an Eligible Savings Account is not open and in good
standing at the time of payment, Promotional Interest will be forfeited.
For example, Jan interest was paid Jan 30 and the Promotional interest was paid Feb 2.
For Feb interest, the promotional interest on the 2nd business day would be March 4, a Monday, (note: this may be anytime on the 4th).

Wouldn't hurt to call in. My promotional interest was missed last month due to a glitch in their system for that particular promo. It was paid after escalating.

Because there was, and still may be, a glitch in the system for the 5.5% promo, which I was told, affected several customers. If it's not there Monday, TD should definitely call in.

Maybe I'm dating myself but I thought Simplii pays the bonus interest after the end of the promo. Did they change when I wasn't looking?

Yes, it used to be that way but on this promotion as Patch002 mentions they pay the bonus 2 business days after the end of the month.

you are not alone as i am seeing only base interest and no promo for the month of Feb. Expect that to be posted Monday.
