I got this notice when I logged in and I also got an e-mail.
"By now, you should’ve received your newly branded Simplii Financial™ bank card in the mail. How do you activate it? Make a purchase or another PIN transaction as you normally would and you’re done! You can start using it right away."
Not sure what they are expecting of me.
I've already used my card at the ATM....Do they want me to make a debit purchase?
My card and number seems to work OK for what I've used it for.

Could Simplii have meant "Make a purchase or [do] another [kind of] PIN transaction as you normally would and you’re done!"?

I just have a HISA with them. No other account like the checking account.
The have sent me the bank card & PIN.
I got this email too. How exactly am I suppose to use the card and activate it. Not like I can make a debit purchase with it or use it to remove cash from the ATM, since I only have a HISA with them.
I can understand them asking Checking account holders to activate it by using it for a debit purchase and/or making a cash withdrawal at the ATM. But how is a HISA account holder ONLY suppose to do, any of the above 2 transactions ?
Maybe I will use it at the ATM to check my balance in HISA and/or use it to change my PIN, that should do it right ?
I have no use of that card, besides using the 16 digit number on it as a User ID to login into my account online & doing web banking.

Yes, I think checking the HISA balance at the ATM will do it.
As well, one could also deposit a cheque into the HISA at the ATM.
