It’s a big 5
You have better things to do with your research time than to think they will ever compete with the online institutions or credit union offers
Trust me haven’t seen them interested in competing for over a decade easily
They don’t create their annual record-breaking profits off of GIC investors

Scotia has been the top big 6 gic bank within the last 10yrs, not so more recently but their sub Tangerine was offerin 3-3.25% last year. Near the end of the first quarter in 2018 Scotia offered a 29mth@2.9% gic

The big 7 including hsbc which offered 3.15@15mths last year are significant to larger accounts who are at deposit insurance limits in smaller names.

Lets hope for a great deal from Scotia in the year of the Rat
