Linking External Account - Hubert Savings

I was able to link RBC, TD and EQ Bank to Saven Financial but it always fails trying to link Hubert Savings. It indicates their system is under maintenance, which it can't be over 4 days.

I receive an email from Hubert each time saying I was connected to them.

I've been trying for 3 days to get a hold of Saven customer service to no avail.

When I do get through to Saven, will they be able to manually link this, or must the account be linked via their "Flinks" system?

Thanks for the response. I was able to reach customer service via chat today.

My problem hasn’t been resolved, but I have been advised that Hubert Savings accounts cannot be linked to Saven due to their exclusion from the “Flinks” linking system. So I know to stop trying.

I had hoped for there to be a manual intervention process. It’s a shame, but I’ll work around it.

Like using Tangerine as the intermediary which is what I have done to go between Hubert and Oaken ...

I don't even bother anymore, I now send most funds to simplii and then transfer to the next destination.

I don't know why but simply does not hold funds for me anymore. When they arrive from another financial institution the funds are now immediately available to me other than the fact it takes 1 business day to process and not on weekends and holidays.

I had huge issues getting funds from CTC to Saven so I basically gave up and the funds went through simplii and ended up at Hubert.

That said, I have a massive GIC coming due in 2 months which I might move to Saven but I will wait until their new MAINTENANCE is done. They seem to be in the process of overhauling the website with some fairly significant downtime scheduled so I want to make sure that is all completed.

I already have my Saven account so from here on I just have to see how the new system looks. I have to admit the current system shoots out way too many login errors, cannot connect etc for my taste.

Have you tried making the link from Hubert to Saven, using Hubert's micro-deposit method? Works fine for me with every FI I have tried to link with from Hubert. And with Hubert there does not seem to be a limit on how many FIs one can link to.

I've now got that in progress and expect it to complete today or tomorrow, negating the need to link via Saven.

I've also tried to link accounts. One finally went through, said it was connected and then a red banner came up saying I had to contact customer service. The other one has said for the past 5 days that the linking bank's website is under construction.
The two banks I was able to link, I scheduled a transfer from both. One of the transfers completely disappeared. Yesterday it was there, today it's gone. Money was not transferred. You can not put your transfer for the same day. The one that disappeared, I just redid, and the earliest I could set the transfer date, was May 11th? What kind of nonsense is that? I've taken a screen shot in case they disappear again. And forget trying to call customer service. I hung up after an hour. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to do something that should be dead simple. I do not hold out much confidence in this bank. Having a good saving rate is useless if you can't get your money there. Like KamWest I have a massive GIC coming due, but it will be going elsewhere.

I believe the “under construction” feedback really implies that the bank doesn’t work with validations through the FLINK’s system. That was my experience anyway.

As for transfers, you can do an immediate transfer, but as you noted, it instantly disappears! A little unnerving that, but my instant transfer have all worked to date. Perhaps the May 11th date relates to when your funds come off a hold?

I’ve had no issues getting hep from customer service. The only issue I have that remains is I can’t use my PC with Chrome for login - it just doesn’t work. So I stick with the IOS app.

I'm really not sure MAC99 as the original transfer I scheduled is still listed on scheduled transfers. That was for the $25 bucks membership and an additional amount. I was not able to choose an immediate transfer for that, or for any of them for that matter. When you choose from the little calendar beside the transfer, it is 5 days later at the earliest. My original transfer is listed to transfer on May 8th. The other one just disappeared. No money has come out of either bank. Normally when you schedule a transfer, the money immediately comes out of the bank it is being transferred from, although it may take several days to get into the receiving bank. I will try and call them again and hopefully they can fix all these glitches as there gets to a point where it is just too much aggravation for .3 percent. OK, so I see the same - the 5 days out on an “instant” transfer relates to the lengthy timeline for Saven transactions. 5 days in either direction.

In my experience the money stays in my other FI until the 5th day and then is moved, finally, to Saven.

I'm not able to link my accounts either...this is the most frustrating banking experience I've ever had...they have my $25 share now, and I can't move money in or out. I've given up trying to link banks via their system...I've tried two different banks and both say after they've connected and are getting info from the destination financial institution and then it times out and tells me to call Saven.
