My strategy to take benefit of Meridian's 1% bonus | RRSPs and RRIFs | Discussion forum

I wanted to take advantage of the extra 1% bonus but it needs to be a transfer. I currently don't have any fund anywhere to transfer so I am going to open an RRSP account with Oaken and then transfer it out to Meridian before March 1st to lock it with their 3 years 3.50% + 1% = 4.50%

And that's how I am going to finally get my first over 4% interest rate!

UPDATE: IGNORE! This is a 1% cash bonus not 1% extra interest! LOL. Won't worth the hassle.
