Yes they have quietly removed it. It was supposed to be available until 15th of December. There must be quite a few folks waiting to apply until that day to get the maximum of 3 months.I'm not sure I understand your comment about waiting to the last day of the promo to get the maximum 3 months of the promo rate. The promo rate is active for 3 months/90 days from the day the account is opened, at any point within the promotional period. Am I misreading your comment?
I meant since the bonus rate is for 3 months from the day one opens the account, so I wondered if there could be some people who might have existing rates expiring elsewhere around the same time, and they'd want to apply for RBC's HISA not well in advance, but rather on or little before the 15th to avail the 3 month period as much as possible.
Anyway, as it appears, the rate and date is still on (as mentioned by the poster later here.)

Ok, see what you meant. Didn't get that out of your initial post, but makes sense now!

This is one of the terms and conditions:
The Bonus Interest Rate of 3.10% within the RBC New eSavings Client Bonus Interest Rate Offer (“Offer”) is available to Eligible Clients who were not the Primary Owner of an RBC High Interest eSavings Account at any time before the beginning of the Qualifying Period (as defined below), and who open a new RBC High Interest eSavings account (“Eligible eSavings Account”) as the Primary Owner between January 12, 2023 and 3:00 PM EST on February 28, 2023 (the “Qualifying Period”). (Note: For added clarity, you will not qualify for this Offer by switching from another account type to an Eligible eSavings Account.)
I opened and closed a High Interest eSavings account in 2021. Am I still eligible to earn the Bonus Interest Rate of 3.10%? Have any people been able to get the Bonus Interest Rate even though they have had such an account before?
Please reply to let me know your experience. Any replies are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

RBC has been running this kind of offer annually for several years. Spouse and I took advantage of it for two years, with each of us being Primary account holder in one year's offer.
I would not attempt to get the offer again as I think the language is quite clear that I wouldn't qualify.
The only way I know of whereby you could get this deal is if you opened a joint account with someone else, and that other person was the primary account holder.

The fine print clearly says the offer is only available to those "who were not the Primary Owner of an RBC High Interest eSavings Account at any time before the beginning of the Qualifying Period" that began January 12, 2023.
Not surprising. I had an experience with Simplii (or was it Tangerine?) a few years ago and their policy at that time was you had wait 7 years before coming back as a "new" client.

Wow today....first time ever from them. I have an offer for new funds only into my existing HISA with RBC. The rate is 4.25% from 01Feb 2023- 30Apr 2023!!
I did complain awhile back about NEVER receiving an offer from them in all the years I've had an account with them. Maybe because I recently purchased some TFSA GIC's with them?
Anyway, I will take advantage of it. I almost left them entirely a few months ago but decided to stay because they started to offer some decent rates and I do have a M/C with them.
