Someone mentioned on RFD that they had to change their password to login, and were speculating that PT may have been hacked again. I don't belong to PT anymore but was curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

I've still got one last GIC at Peoples Trust, and just logged in. Looks like they've made the initial login page somewhat prettier, but once in everything is the same. Wasn't asked to change or update my password, but if they are tweaking things, it is possible that some people might be if their existing password doesn't meet some sort of stricter new rule on length/pattern/characters, or is unchanged since some ancient date, or things like that.

At my last login their splash-screen notified that they are moving to 2FA, offering a two week sign-up window.

Looks like they instituted both stricter password requirements and MFA at about the same time (as my previous password didn't meet the requirements).

Good to know. MFA is definitely not bulletproof, but in 2023 it should be table stakes for any FI. Oaken still doesn't have MFA.
