Am I correct to think that Peoples Trust Online does not offer RRSP GICs?
I'm looking for the best rate for such a five-year RRSP GIC and saw 2.65% at Peoples Trust but that does not seem to exist in the online version of the bank.
See here. http://www.peoplestrust.com/hi...../rrsp-gic/
They do and correct 2.65% for 5 yr.
BUT
Hubert has 2.7% for 5 yr.

Thanks for the replies.
I get confused because when I log in to my account online, there's no mention of RRSP.
Under "Account Services - Open a New Account" only the following are listed:
Savings Accounts
Term Deposits
Tax-Free Savings Accounts
The Hubert rate is great but it means dealing with yet another bank.

From main page (no need to log in yet)
http://www.peoplestrust.com/hi.....-accounts/
click on RRSP GIC
Then click on
"Click here to open your account now"
Fill in the drop boxes and away you go

Yes, I felt the same years ago about how many accounts I should have.
I find the following institutions helpful to me to obtain the better rates and also a huge believer of NOT putting all your eggs in one basket.
Oaken
Accelerate
Hubert
Implicity
Yes, it takes time to set them up and learn how to manage them...but well worth the effort. Keep in mind if you are doing RRSP, RRIF or TFSA GICs in is very important to only deal with an institution that has an associated savings account to hold your matured GICs in, until you decide the re-investment options for the funds.
