Hi, I'm trying to move some money into People's Trust via e-transfer, because the amount is small and it's faster than doing a pull. But each time I try, I get an error.
Has anyone else been able to do this? Again, this is money going into People's via interac, not going out.
Before anyone gets mad at me: yes, normally I would just call to get the answer.
But we're talking about People's Trust here. Have mercy.

Short Answer: They don't seem to support Interac e-transfer.

What -- really?? But this is what I see on my PT online banking. How could they not support it when they are inviting me to use it? Surely they can't be that inane...can they?

That thread is over a year old. Maybe things have changed since. Peoples Trust Company is listed as a participating financial institution on Interac e-Transfer

What's the error? Have you created your profile successfully yet?

sothisistheinternet: Could this be caused by the little line in your screen shot saying, "Arrangements for future and recurring transfers to other Canadian Financial Institutions must be made at least 3 days before your initial start data."
Is it possible your transfer might be considered a "future" transfer?

Hello there RetirEd, no unfortunately that is not the problem -- that future transfer part refers to me-to-me transfers (to linked external accounts).
What might be the problem is that e-transfers can only go into a chequing account (which I don't have there), and not an e-savings account.
