Hi,
I can't access into online banking on the Peoples Trust Company's website :
https://www6.memberdirect.net/brand/bc_peoplestrust/OnlineBanking/Accounts/
I have the following message error :
This site can’t be reachedCheck
if there is a typo in www6.memberdirect.net.
If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
Please see message error in attachment for clearer picture.
Does anyone have this message while trying to access the online banking website?

For what its worth I attempted to open People's secure messaging for account application and that page would not load either. No messaging, just endless 'loading...' in the tab. It is not uncommon for network maintenance to occur on non-business days and for access to be unavailable to customers.
As Norman1 has stated your money should be safe. People's help services is available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM PT. That is 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM in ET.
By all means read up on the information Stephen has provided and give People's a call, (800) 663-0324 on a business day during the hours mentioned. Relax, it is going to get resolved.

Have u try rebooting ur pc ?
If you are on vpn, turn it off ?
Try accessing via ur tablet or phone browser ?
They have mobile app too.

You may wish to contact your internet service provider first.
Looks like your computer is not able to lookup the IP address of www6.memberdirect.net for some reason. Could be something wrong with your internet service provider's DNS server. That would explain why others don't have the same problem and can connect to Peoples Trust's online banking site.

For DNS troubleshooting, try this simple self-diagnostic first. Run two nslookup check in a command prompt.
The 1st command lookup the ip address from your computer's configuration. The 2nd one lookup the ip address from Google's public DNS server. If the first failed but the 2nd is OK, then the issue not at the bank's. In my case, both come back with the *same* IP address
Hope this helps.
For someone not tech savvy at all, just wait long enough, somebody else in your vicinity having the same issue may report and solve in due course. Patience is not a bad solution.

It appears to be Quebec /Videotron [ISP] issue for the banking website - there will be a notice on the website - as per my chat with Peoples.

One day later I was able to open People's Trust Account Application page and it functioned normally.
baba, is your issue resolved? Are you now able to connect to your account?
