While other financial institutions are continuing to lower GIC rates, Omnia Direct (a division of Windsor Family C.U.) still offers 1 year GICs for new money at 4.05% p.a.
For seniors (57+??), interest can be payable monthly at the same rate.

I phoned Omnia this morning and the rep said there is no monthly interest option for seniors. Perhaps you might wish to recheck that and if necessary revise your post.

I can confirm that I do receive GIC monthly interest from Omnia at the annual rate, paid to my linked bank account.
