I had a similar problem a while back. It may seem silly, but I just kept on trying. Also, sometimes these links seem to be sensitive to the kind of account you are attemping to add. In my Oaken account the linked account finally showed up as Canadian Western Bank, although it is my Motive chequing account. I remember having to try my Motive login on numerous occasions because it appeared to not work. Then, lo and behold, the link appeared in Oaken without any kind of notice. It was quite strange. Just keep trying and check Oaken to see if the link appears.

I have been trying to use the Flinks 'Canadian Western Bank' option Several times now, in the past few days.
I can't get passed the initial sign-in step. I keep getting the message :
- "Invalid login. Either your username or password is invalid"
I'd call into Oaken to try to get their help, but it's not really an Oaken problem
... it's a problem with Flinks.

Motive now has mandatory two-factor authentication. Could that play a role? That is, a user ID and pw is not sufficient anymore, and don't know if that impacts functionality of Flinks?

The website on Oaken's Flinks page for Cdn Western Bank is "direct.cwbank.com".
Motive Financial is a 'division' of Cdn Western Bank, with a different home URL to log-on: auth.motivefinancial.com/login .
I suspect that Oaken will need to add a link to Motive Financial separately, as it appears that Motive (being a division of Cdn Western Bank, with its own URL) isn't synched with cwbank.com.
I have written to the Oaken customer-support email (service@oaken.com) to request this. Let's see if I ever hear back. Not optimistic.

Good afternoon,
If linking the account is not working online, please provide us with an original VOID personal cheque (embossed with your name) along with a signed Letter of Direction to service@oaken.com
If you do not have a personal cheque, please submit a bank stamped pre-authorized deposit form. The form must include the following information: Institution #, Transit #, Account # and Name.
In addition, we will also require a copy of your bank statement from the account which you want us to update it to.
We appreciate your understanding. Kind regards

I suspect that Oaken will need to add a link to Motive Financial separately, as it appears that Motive (being a division of Cdn Western Bank, with its own URL) isn't synched with cwbank.com.
I believe that Oaken should do this for the benefit of its customers. This is similar to CIBC and Simplii (an online division of CIBC) having their own Flinks links (with separate URLs) on Oaken's page. Same with Scotiabank and Tangerine (Scotiabank owns Tangerine) -- two different links on Oaken's page.
This seems to be an oversight on Oaken's part, and I would appreciate if this could be rectified instead of the 'work around' you have proposed.

Oaken is the only FI where I have used Links. I don't know who needs to fix this (Oaken or Links) but what I have noticed over the last year is that the number of FI in that Oaken-Links list occasionally grows.

Unfortunately, some external institutions are not currently available to link through Digital banking.
To link an institution that is not listed on our platform, please provide us a void cheque or preauthorized debit form along with a bank statement of the account you want to link.
In addition, please provide us a signed letter of direction via email attachment.
