Via email, I recently received a request from Oaken to rate my experiences with them, via the Trustpilot website. Did anyone else here get this request ❓

I just finished completing the process, and gave them a Four Star rating (Very Good). However, I did mention my ongoing concern that they Still don't have registered savings accounts (TFSA/RRSP/RRIF SA's), to go along with their registered GICs.

Will they listen ... who knows ❓ sf-wink

I tried ❗

I didn't receive the survey, but I think it's important to let them know how we feel about this issue at every opportunity.

WOW ... to my surprise, Oaken responded (on the Trustpilot website) to my request for them to consider offering Registered Savings Accounts ❗

Comments on the Trustpilot website are open to the public. This is a copy of what they said ...

    "Reply from Oaken Financial
Hi Dean – thank you for your comments. We are continuously reviewing our services and adding a registered savings account is one of the things we are considering. We don’t have specific details that we can share at this time, but as we firm up our future development plans we’ll have more information. Thank you."

Time will tell,

    Dean

We've been telling them this for years. They are very slow at "considering". Actions speak louder than words.
However, it may be the first vaguely positive response.

We recently made a partial transfer-out of an RIF GIC and renewed the remainder. That's a big nuisance for them, but it's because of their policies that we had to do it.

I can only guess, but so far it looks like I might be the only one on these forums that Oaken has asked to participate in their Trustpilot survey. As of this time today, the total number of participants in the survey is only 20, so I'm guessing this is a fairly new survey. As time goes on, more are likely to participate.

As you can see in my part of the survey (Dean), I have now responded to Oaken's response. I hope I don't get kicked off the survey ❗ sf-wink

There are now Over 50 responses/reviews to Oaken's recent survey on the Trustpilot website ... and it appears we're Not the only ones who would like to see Oaken offer Registered Savings Accounts.

NOTE:
From what I can tell, Anyone can write a review about Oaken, on the Trustpilot website ... I can find no indication that you need to be 'invited'. sf-smile

Cheers,
