As part of our commitment to making customers the first to know about our rate changes, please note that effective Monday, March 30, 2015, we'll be increasing the following rates:
• 90-364 Day GICs - 1.80% (currently 1.75%)
• Cashable GIC after 90 Days - 1.80% (currently 1.75%)
• 1 Year GIC - 1.90% (currently 1.80%)
• 18 Month GIC - 2.00% (currently 1.90%)
Any applications received by Monday, March 30, 2015 will receive the current posted rates.
All other Oaken rates remain unchanged

Fellow Savers,
I am relatively new customer at Oaken and with all the recent promotions available for 'new' money in the marketplace, I called then to see if they would match rates. They would not move off of their current 1.75% rate and so I transferred my funds out for the time being.
Just FYI for those of us that actively chase the prevailing market rates ...

1 Year GIC, Cashable After 90 Days - 1.85% (currently 1.80%)
1 Year GIC - 1.95% (currently 1.90%)
18 Month GIC - 2.05% (currently 2.00%)
4 Year GIC - 2.30% (currently 2.20%)
5 Year GIC - 2.50% (currently 2.30%)
All other Oaken rates remain unchanged.
