Warren Buffett fails in bid to boost stake in Home Capital

http://business.financialpost......or-buffett

At a special meeting, more than 88% of the Canadian lender's shareholders voted against the bigger investment, keeping the legendary investor’s stake at 19.99%

Question now is - Does Warren Buffett stay with Home Capital?

Can't blame him for trying - at 10.30 /share!
But, since it's trading around 14, he can't be surprised that shareholders didn't agree. He may even respect them for it.

He got his shares at a great price. The company has rebounded and is probably going to be in a stronger position than it ever was, once the new hires are all up to speed. I see no reason for Buffett to sell in the foreseeable future.
