Home Trust (the Oaken people) had certain experiences last year which caused them to be somewhat less than enamoured of chasing hot deposit money... 🙂

Now that the mighty Oak has awakened from its Savings Rate slumber, perhaps we'll see Savings accounts in RSPs RIFs one day soon?sf-smile

Would it be that Oaken does not have RRSP, RRIF or TFSA savings accounts because people would park funds there to take advantage of no cost transfers to another FI?

It is a worth while effort to turn on ALERTS on your Credit Cards and Bank/Credit Union Accounts.

Who knows? And they won't say.
They will be losing my maturing RIF GIC next year, and the one after that, if they don't introduce a registered savings account.
There is more than one reason to need such a vehicle.

I fully agree; Until Oaken offers those registered savings account vehicles, I am not touching their RRSP, nor TFSA.

Yup me too. I got taken away with their rates and do have TFSA and RRSP with them but will transfer out at maturity. No savings account = no invest!!
