MotusBank (MoBa) is the second FI for me, that offers to link an external account (e.g. EQB), via login (with password) through MoBa into EQB. I do not feel comfortable with it, but I did not want to use the paper method MoBa offers, out of laziness. The first time I encountered such linking with another FI, all went fine. This time, with MoBa, all went fine too, until, for the fourth day now SINCE the account opening and linking, every day, I am getting alert emails from EQB, at e.g. 5 am, that somebody is trying to log into my account at EQB. Coincidence? Maybe. That somebody cannot log in to my EQB, because I have a two step authentication with a six digit code valid for 10 minutes. I called EQB, they say, "it's kind-of normal", and "I am safe, becasuse of the two step ID". I did not call MoBa, as I assume an evasive answer. You decide, if this is a warning for you. Happy new year to everyone. Julio.

As a precaution, you might want to change your passwords to both sites.

Just link another account to Motus, instead of Motus => another. I'm not putting my credentials, for another bank, into any site.

Thank you, archangel, for the tip. After I changed both passwords, I did not receive a warning from EQB of somebody trying to log in, because they obviously could not. Thank you both again.
