I have no doubt that Stephen's conversation does indeed reflect what they thought they were doing. I recognized its derivation as soon as I saw the name.
However, a little knowledge of Latin can be a dangerous thing.
The problem is that the word "motive", the name taken by another FI, has the same derivation, as both ultimately come from the Latin verb movere, to move.
And that is one of the main reasons why I think it was a bad choice. When I hear them, they both point to the same root and thus are harder to distinguish than they should be.
It's not the only reason, but you probably don't want to hear the rest of them!
If they wanted to express motion or progress, and have a name people would remember and that would not be confused with another, they could have called it something like "Go Bank".
Can't help but wonder what the excuse was for ill-fated "Zag".
