HISA from motusbank is available in Quebec
Thanks for pointing that out, mathematiques. I thought I'd noticed that Motus Bank was available to Quebec residents but the comparison chart didn't reflect this. At launch, Motus could've initially excluded Quebec and then quickly added Quebec availability. In any case, it's not entirely surprising since their main credit union-owned competitor, Alterna Bank, is available in Quebec.
Peter definitely appreciates member reports of items needing updating as that's, in part, how this site stays so up-to-date (as it saves him time in updating not needing to continuously and regularly check every webpage of every listed financial institution website for updates).
Cheers,
Doug

As of last week motusbank website still said they were not available in Quebec, so this is news.
I've noticed inconsistent messaging on Motus Bank's website. One area of the website will advertise something or that something is available; another area, or its staff, will contradict that messaging.
Cheers,
Doug

Hi, back in April 2019, I tweeted Motusbank and asked them if they serviced Quebec, and for which products. They answered that they did and only deposit products (chequing, savings and investments) were available.
Today (Feb. 4, 2022), I tried to open a no-fee chequing account and received an auto-reject message. When I called, they told me that they no longer accept applications from Quebec, they do not take applications from the phone (only online) and they do not know when Quebec applicants will be able to ever apply again.
I hope this helps.
