Yes, they are. You can find them on Direct Deposit/Pre-Authorized Payment Request form on Motive Web site.

A word of caution: It's best not to ask in discussion forums for a virtual bank's transit number, particularly when they use several transit numbers for accounts. Using the wrong transit number can mean your transactions may have to be manually processed and could even incur an extra fee. It's best to double-check with the FI on the right transit number to use. 🙂
That said, since Alexandre has linked to the official Direct Deposit form they're using, it likely means Motive is only using one transit number and so that's correct. Thanks, Alexandre.
Cheers,
Doug

I had looked at their forms but I keep getting the message I can't view that type of (pdf) document. Kinda odd since I view pdf's online all the time ...
Thank you ...

Thanks. Very good point. I always verify with a $1 transfer before moving real money ...

These are forms that can only be viewed (and edited) in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
This can fix it for Windows.
Set Adobe Acrobat Reader as default PDF viewer.
or (if you don't want to)
Save file on desktop, hover mouse over it, right click, in menu Open With select Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Just a note to say the address linked above returned a 404 for me (2 years later, to be fair 🙂 ). I found the PAD form today at https://access.motivefinancial.com/Forms/
I've been trying to link Motive and EQ from the Motive end, using the form and faxing with FaxZero. It keeps returning "line was busy" though it's not busy when I call it. So today I started the process from the EQ end. Still does the 2 small deposits method (Motive not being on the list for the fast method) but at least they'll be linked.

Save yourself the hassle, just email the form to info@motivefinancial.com.

I only faxed from FaxZero, was going to set up my fax machine but never got to it. I did phone the fax number and heard the carrier tone, so I guess the problem is in the handshake not an actual busy signal or Did Not Answer.
[For a relative]: Mailed in an application and void cheque, and Motive opened a regular (1%) savings account and didn't link the TDCT external that had been included.
We interacced $100 over and then opened a new Savvy Savings (3%) account using the $100 from the Savings account. I may chase down why they (or I) screwed up the application.
Trying to link to the Motive from EQ, they don't list Motive but do list Western (which owns Motive). So if I try to do it with institution, branch, and account, it refuses to take the 030 and says "we have that on our list". So I have to do the short method, but it just rejects. It prompts with the standard first 8 digits and asks for 8 more, but if I cut off the prepopulated digits I don't have 8. No matter what I tried, EQ would not link to Motive.
Has anyone been able to link Motive from the EQ end online? If not, any other institutions that can link to Motive without wasting a stamp?
Thanks.

I don't like emailing sensitive information and do it only when necessary (and losing $1 and a week doesn't meet my requirements for "necessary" in this case).
I understand others are not as obsessive about that as I am.

Thank you. I may connect Tangerine, though there are only 3 accounts allowed.
Has anyone successfully linked from EQ? As posted above, EQ's link to Canadian Western Bank asks for the wrong number of digits, and using Institution/Transit/Account solution doesn't work because they have an incorrect method for connecting directly.
Thanks.
