This is the instructions and restrictions on Motive's me - to - me transfer:
Please be advised, two testing transfers are on their way which may take up to two (2) days to complete! Once they have been deposited into your external bank account, please call Motive Financial to verify the amounts, then your link will be completed.
The deposits will be labelled from Canadian Western Bank.
Me to Me Features:
• Transfer to and from Motive account(s) with external bank account(s)
• Personal accounts only (Savings or Chequing accounts only)
• Link up to five Canadian financial institutions.
• Outgoing limits of $150,000.00 per transaction (max $999,999.99 a rolling 24-hour window)
• Incoming limits of $999,999.99 per transaction (a rolling 24-hour window)
• Minimum limit of $10.00 per transaction
• CANADIAN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ONLY
• CAD funds only
• Business and US accounts excluded.
*Transfers to external accounts can’t be completed through the Mobile App.
Prior to this, one must fill out a form and mail it with void cheque or pre-authorized debit form to this address:

Personally, I found it a bit annoying that this process cannot be done in fully automatic manner, like what happen to Tangerine.

Truth be known, Motive's website & procedures are Full of antiquated, annoying Crapola. They need to be rebuilt, from the foundation to the shingles. The CSRs talk about that happening (someday?) ... but so far Nada.
For myself (and others), it's been a Huge Disappointment from the get-go. Once my one and only Motive GIC matures ... I'm Outa There ❗
