Thanks for the "interest"-ing report! and congratulations! You are the first and only person to report success with this offer as far as I've seen.

well I guess the 'final' test will be to validate the rate when the 1st month's interest is paid out, at the end of August; no reason to doubt what the FSA told us, but this thread clearly shows others heard a different story. 😉

I think you don't have to wait til Aug 31 to see what's happening.
Click on the account in question, look at "Transaction HIstory". At top of page it will give the current interest rate. Mine says 1.3, but yours should say the promo rate.
The rate may fall a bit (as mine did for similar promo with them last winter), but you should continue to get the promo rate, whatever it is. BTW, my FSR never told me the rate could fall, nor did he notify me when it did, but, then, I'd read the fine print, knew it could fall, and didn't really expect him to notify me.

ah yes, of course ... I recall checking our new TFSAs online that way once the transferred-in cash triggered the GICs and their promo rate of 3.25% for 18 mths.

Our newly opened OAS account does indeed show the interest rate as: 3.0%

My wife & I both had promo savings accounts earlier this year. The rate dropped .1 or .15% & I mildly brought it up with our rep at our branch. He added 50.00$ to each of our accounts because he did not explain the promo rate could drop down. When the promo ended the money went to Duca for that 3% rate till the end of next Jan.
